How to make bio-glitter slime
Making glitter slime is a fun and easy activity that you can do at home with just a few simple ingredients. Here is a basic recipe for making glitter slime:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of clear or white school glue
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/2 tsp of baking soda
- 1 tbsp of contact lens solution (make sure it contains boric acid)
- SunDust bio-glitter (any color you like)
Instructions:
-
In a mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup of clear or white school glue with 1/2 cup of water. Mix well until the glue is fully dissolved.
-
Add 1/2 tsp of baking soda to the glue mixture and stir until it is fully incorporated.
-
Add a few drops of food coloring and glitter to the mixture, stirring until you achieve the desired color and sparkle.
-
Add 1 tbsp of contact lens solution to the mixture and stir well. The slime will start to thicken and become more difficult to stir.
-
Knead the slime with your hands until it becomes less sticky and more stretchy. If the slime is still too sticky, add a few drops of contact lens solution and knead it again.
-
Once the slime reaches your desired consistency, it is ready to play with! You can store the slime in an airtight container when you're not using it.
Note: If you want to make larger batches of slime, simply double or triple the recipe as needed. Be sure to supervise children during the process and remind them not to ingest the slime.
